PROGRAMMING
A SATELLITE:
Adding & modifying satellite names from the defaults in memory:
Default satellite names and formats cannot be changed from the factory
settings. New satellite names can be added using any of the formats
in the receiver.
The CR10 has satellite T4 stored as a Ku satellite. This format cannot
be changed to make the satellite C-Band. Satellite G9 is not stored
in the receiver database and can be added as C-Band. Once a satellite
is added, it
needs to be programmed into memory using Program Satellites in Menu
4. As an example we'll program the GE-1 (W1) satellite.
- Move
to G4/06, confirm the picture as Shepard's Chapel. Press MENU
then 7
(SAT

If it asks for a password, enter 2,
3, 4, 5
or your password if you have changed it from the factory setting.
You should now be
in the SAT

RENAME
A SATELLITE
On this receiver, Chaparral advises against renaming a satellite that
is already defined (created). The best thing would be to just erase
the satellite and then create it from scratch as shown above.
The chart
below lists the default satellites that are in the CR10's memory.
N = Normal (Odd channels are Verticle polarity, R = Reverse (Odd channels
are Horizontal polarity)
