Warning: If you have any doubt as to whether you can confortably do the following procedures yourself, hire a reputable satellite dealer to do this for you.

LEGEND:
ORANGE = represents a key on the remote
RED = Information Displayed on the TV screen

RECEIVER INFO:
Infrared remote. There aren't any direct access satellites and the unit does not come with any satellite formats in memory. So each satellite will need to be custom programmed. To change satellites press CALL then select the satellite from the screen then press CALL again. This unit has a basic Parental Lock, to set be on the desired channel and press the P. Lock button. When th
P. Lock is engaged you will not be able to call up that channel by using the channel up or down button. You must access it using the number keys. To remove the lock, hold the same button for more than 5 seconds. Any tuning change made to the unit, be it satellite position, Skew, Polarity or Video will not save automatically, you will need to reprogram the adjusted satellite. The unit will also support Ku-band however you will need an external VH switch. There are 2 sets of RCA video and Audio output jacks for the TV and VCR. Up to 100 favorite channels can be stored.

PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE:
As an example, here is how to program the GE-1 satellite as W1.

  • Move your dish to S4/19 (confirm the picture as Cornerstone WPCB). Press the W (West) button and hold until you loose this picture then stop.
  • Press MENU, press 3 (SAT MEMORY) , press 2 (SAT TYPE) then use Ch up until the S displayed on the screen changes to W. Press 3 (SAT NUMBER), then use the CH down to change the 4 to a 1.
  • Press POL once, you should now have a picture. On the front of the receiver there are a series of lights next to the channel number, the only lights that should be lit are the C and the H.
  • If further adjustments to the picture are needed press MENU, then 1 (TUNING), select the line number for VIDEO, AUDIO or SKEW then follow the directions on the screen. When you are satisfied with the picture press ENTER to store.

TUNING ADJUSTMENTS:
Press
MENU then 1 (TUNING) , then press the line number representing VIDEO, SKEW and AUDIO. Use the Ch up and Ch down buttons to adjust. For East/West adjustments, use the E or W button on the remote control. You will need to reprogram the satellite again if you wish to retain any of the above adjustments.

MENU, 1 (TUNING), 2 (AUDIO TUNE). Use 1 for MONO / STEREO / VCII and 2 For WIDE / NARROW
