CREATING A NEW SATELLITE :
If a satellite is not listed in the Satellite Store, you will have to create it as new. As an example we'll create the GE-1 satellite. Because the remote does not have a W for use as a direct access name you will have to decide wheather to name it something else or just name it W1 and select that name from the satellite call menu. For this example we'll call it W1. The first step is to define the satellite.

  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1. This will bring up  the SATELLITE STORE. You need to find a line that is filled with * * * *. Use the W (WEST) or E (East) button to scroll a whole page at a time until you get to the page this is on (usually right below S2).
  • Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line. Press SETUP, the line now shows A1, press the CH down button until the A changes to a W. Press ENTER to store the satellite.

PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE:
As an example we'll program the W1 Satellite that you created above.

  • Move to S4/19 (confirm as Cornerstone WPCB). Press W (West) button and hold until you loose that picture then stop.
  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITES). The SATELLITE STORE is now displayed. You need to find the page that has the W1 satellite listed on it. Use the W (West) or E  (East) button  to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to this page. (If this was a Ku-band satellite, press the C/KU button to display the Ku-band staellite list). Press the CH down or CH up button until the arrow points to the line listing W1.
  • Press CALL, you should have a picture. If some adjustments to the picture are still required, use the CH down button to select SKEW or POLARITY. Look on the front of the receiver, to the right of the channel number, there are a series of lights, the only lights that should be lit is the  word HOR and C. Press ENTER when the picture is agreeable. W1 is now stored. Press VIEW to clear the screen.

RE-PROGRAM SATELLITE
To permanently store any adjustments to a already stored satellite such as dish position, Skew, Fine Tuning, etc. Make adjustments then press
MENU, 1, ENTER.

OTHER TUNING ADJUSTMENTS:
Press
TUNE then the line number representing the adjustment needed then use the CH up or CH down buttons to adjust. The choices are FINE TUNING, POLARITY, SKEW, FORMAT (this switches between Mono and VCRS audio modes when you are on a subscription channel) and FREQUENCY (this option only appears when the Format is set to MONO). SKEW adjustments are not stored permanently, to store them permanently see REPROGRAM SATELLITE.

RENAME AN EXISTING SATELLITE
As an example, lets rename the T3 satellite to G9 so it will agree with the satellite guides.

  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITE). The SATELLITE STORE screen is now displayed.
  • Use the W (West) or E (East) button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to the page that has T3 listed on it. (If you are renaming a Ku-band satellite, press the C/KU button to display the Ku-band staellite list). Press the CH down or CH up button until the arrow points to that line in the list.
  • The line now shows the T in T3 flashing, press the CH down button until the T changes to a G. Press the E (East button), now the 3 is flashing. Press the CH up button until the 3 changes to 9. Repeat this procedure to change to satellite name from TELSTAR 3 to GALAXY 9. Press ENTER. You should now be looking at the INSTALLATION MENU again. Press  VIEW to clear the screen.
