Parental Lock via the Menu however a password will be needed to defeat/remove it. The unit will also support Ku-band however you will need an external VH switch. There is just 1 set of RCA Video and Audio output jacks. It Has Favorite Channels capability. Automatically adds a ORANGE screen to a channel not receiving a video signal but it can be turned off. Unit has a Resync Satellite feature. Master Rest can be done from the Installation Menu.

PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE:
As an example we'll program the GE-1 satellite. The majority of satellite guides are referring to GE-1 as W1. W1 cannot be used as a satellite designator for this satellite, instead you will have to name the satellite something that is already in memory and not used.

  • Move to S4/19 (confirm as WPCB or Cornerstone).
  • Press W (West) and hold until you loose the picture then stop.
  • Press and hold the MENU button until a purple colored screen saying INSTALLATION MENU appears (usually 4 seconds).
  • Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITES). This brings up the SATELLITE STORE screen, you will need to find a page that has a satellite listed that you do not use (F2, C5, E1 are a few). We'll use A1 (ASC1) for this demonstration, it is the same format as GE-1 and is currently not an active satellite. Use the W button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to the page with A1 on it. Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press CALL, now look at the front of the receiver, to the right of the channel number shown is a series of lights, the lights that you should see lit is C and HOR. If C and VER is lit up instead, push the TUNE button once on the remote control, push 2 (POLARITY) then VIEW. You should now have a picture. If not press the TUNE button, then select the number of the function needing adjustment, then use the Ch up or Ch down button to adjust.
  • Press ENTER to save. Press VIEW to clear the screen of any graphics.

TUNING ADJUSTMENTS
Any manual tuning change made to the unit, be it satellite position, Skew, Polarity or Video will not save automatically, you will need to reprogram the adjusted satellite.

The choices are FINE TUNING, POLARITY, SKEW, FORMAT (this switches between Mono and VCRS audio modes when you are on a subscription channel) and FREQUENCY (this option only appears when the Format is set to MONO). SKEW adjustments are not stored permanently, to store them permanently see REPROGRAM A SATELLITE BELOW.
