Warning: If you have any doubt as to whether you can confortably do the following procedures yourself, hire a reputable satellite dealer to do this for you.

LEGEND:
ORANGE = represents a key on the remote
RED = Information Displayed on the TV screen

RECEIVER INFO:
UHF Remote Control. Direct access satellites are C, E, F, G, M, S and T for Cband, B, K and R for Ku. Parental Lock via the Menu however a password will be needed to defeat/remove it. The unit will also support Ku-band however you will need an external VH switch. There are 2 sets of RCA Video and Audio output jacks, 7 Event-2 Week VCR Timer, Favorite Channels capability, Resync Satellite and Quicktune. Master Rest can be done from the Installation Menu.

PROGRAMMING A NEW SATELLITE NOT ALREADY IN MEMORY:
If a satellite is not listed in the Satellite Store, you will have to create it as new. As an example we'll create the GE-1 satellite

  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (Approx 4 seconds. The screen color will change to green).
  • Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITES), then 1 (ADD/UPDATE SATELLITES). You are now looking at the ADD/UPDATE SATELLITE screen, notice each line lists a satellite and some info about each. You need to find a line filled with * ** *. Use the W (WEST) button to scroll a whole page at a time until you get to a page these are on (usually right below S2). Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press SETUP, the line now shows A1, press the CH down button until the  A changes to a W. Press W (West) twice and continue creating GE-1 for the  full name of the satellite using the CH up and Ch down buttons. Press W (West) until it lines up under Cband and should show 101.0, press the CH up button until this changes to 103 (these numbers are the W1's location in the arc and is available on any satellite chart). Press W (West) one time, press the CH up button once to change the I to N. Press ENTER.
  • Now refer to to the next section PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE to locate and store W1.

PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE:
As an example we'll now program the GE-1 satellite created above.

  • Move to S4/19 (confirm the picture as Cornerstone WPCB). Press W  (West) button and hold until you loose that picture then stop.
  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITE), then 2 (PROGRAM A SATELLITE). You should now be looking at the SATELLITE STORE screen. You need to find the page that has lists the W1 satellite you just created. Use the W (West) button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to the page this is on. Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press CALL, if some adjustments to the skew or dish position is still required., use the CH down button to select SKEW or POLARITY. Look on the front of the receiver, to the right of the channel number, there are a series of lights, POL written horizontally should be lit.. Press ENTER when the picture is agreeable. W1 is now stored. Press VIEW to clear the screen.

RE-PROGRAM SATELLITE
To permanently store any adjustments to a satellite such as Dish Position, Fine Tuning, etc. Make adjustments then press
MENU, 2 (REPROGRAM SATELLITE), ENTER.

CLARKARK
The receiver will automatically program all of the satellites, after you have correctly modified the original list of satellites in the
ADD/UPDATE SATELLITE list to agree with the current ark and you have programmed the first 2 satellites.

OTHER TUNING ADJUSTMENTS:
Press
TUNE then the line number representing the adjustment needed then use the CH up or CH down buttons to adjust. The choices are VIDEO FINE TUNING, SKEW, POLARITY, C/KU, and TI FILTER. SKEW adjustments are stored at time (no need to reprogram the satellite). POLARITY adjustments do not store automatically. Select REPROGRAM SATELLITE from the Main Menu to save.

AUDIO ADJUSTMENTS:
Pressing
AUDIO allows you change from VCII format to MONO or DISCRETE. FORMAT and the FREQUENCY (this option only appears when the Audio Format is set to MONO or DISCRETE).

QUICKTUNE:
Press
MENU, press 1 (QUICKTUNE). This will automatically peak the best picture and skew only for the current satellite and channel. After peaking is complete a reprogram screen will appear, if the picture is satisfactory press ENTER to save. If you're not happy with the results press CNCL.

DISH POSITION:
Slight dish postion changes are made by using the
E (East) or W (West) buttons on the remote. Any change in dish position is not saved automatically. Select REPROGRAM SATELLITE from the Main Menu to save.
