CREATING A SATELLITE:
The majority of the satellite guides are referring to GE-1 as W1. W1 can be used as a satellite designator for this satellite, however, since there isn't a "W" button on the remote control you will not be able to direct access it like you currently do with the other satellites. Instead you will have to press the CALL button and cursor across to W1 and then press CALL again to access it. Therefore, you may want to name the satellite something that can be directly accessed. For our purposes though we'll still program it as W1.

  • Press MENU, 7 (INSTALLATION MENU), 1 (PROGRAM A SATELLITE). This brings up the SATELLITE STORE menu., you need to find a page that has a satellite listed that you do not use (F2, C5, E1 are few ). We'll use E1 for this demonstration. Use the W (West) button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to the page with E1 on it. Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press SETUP, the line now has the E blinking, press the CH down button until  the E changes to a W. Change the name of the satellite by pressing the W (right arrow) button twice, use the CH up and Ch down buttons to change letters and the W (West) and E (East) buttons to change character locations repeating until GE-1 is spelled out (there are black spaces that can be used). Press CALL, press ENTER to store it. Press View to clear the screen. To locate and store the satellite in the correct location see PROGRAM A SATELLITE below.

PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE:
As an example we'll program the W1 Satellite that you created above.

  • Move to S4/19 (confirm as Cornerstone WPCB). Press W (West) button and  hold until you loose that picture then stop.
  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1 (PROGRAM A SATELLITE). The SATELLITE STORE is now displayed. You will need to find the page that has the W1 satellite listed on it. Use the W (West) or E (East) button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to this page. (If you are programming a Ku-band satellite, press the C/KU button to display the Ku-band staellite list). Press the CH down or CH up button until the arrow points to the line listing W1.
  • Press CALL, you should have a picture. If some adjustments to the picture are still required, use the CH down button to select SKEW or POLARITY. Look on the front of the receiver, to the right of the channel number, there are a series of lights, the only lights that should be lit is the word HOR and C. If C and VER is lit instead, push the TUNE button once on the remote control, push 2 (POLARITY) then VIEW. You should now have a picture. If not press the TUNE button, then the line number for the function needing adjustment, then use the Ch up or Ch down button to adjust. Press ENTER to save. Press VIEW to clear the screen.

TO RENAME SATELLITE T3 AS G9:
