procedures yourself, hire a reputable satellite dealer to do this for
you.
LEGEND:
ORANGE = represents a key on the remote
RED
= Information Displayed on the TV screen
RECEIVER INFO:
UHF or Infrared remote control. Direct access satellites
are C, D, F, G, S, T and W for Cband, B, K and R for Ku. Parental Lock
via the Menu however a password will be needed to defeat/remove it.
The unit will also support Ku-band. Other features include 2 sets of
RCA Video and Audio output jacks for the TV and VCR, External decoder
input, TI filter, 7 event-2 week VCR timer, Automatic satellite locater,
Master Reset via Menu option, Freeze Frame, Picture in Picture and Video
Review. You can store up to 160 favorite channel in one of 8 catagory's.
TUNING ADJUSTMENTS:
Any manual tuning change made to the unit, Skew, Polarity
or Video will automatically be saved (press any key after you tune it
to your liking). Adjustments made using the Quicktune feature will be
automatically be saved on a per polarity basis. Adjustments made to
the dish position are made by using the E
or W
button on the remote control and will need to be saved by using the
Reprogram Satellite Menu. To save a changed dish position press MENU,
then 3,.
then ENTER.
To change the AUDIO selection, press AUDIO,.
then 1
for choosing MONO, STEREO or VCII format.
CREATING
A NEW SATELLITE:
If a satellite is not listed in the Satellite Store, you
will have to create it as new. As an example we'll create the GE-1 satellite.
- Press
and hold the MENU
button down until the INSTALLATION
MENU is
displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1
(PROGRAM
A SATELLITE),
then 3
(ADD/UPDATE
SATELLITE).
You are now looking at the ADD/UPDATE
SATELLITE screen,
notice each line lists a satellite and some info about each. You need
to find a line that is filled with *
* * *.
Use the W
(WEST)
button to scroll a whole page at a time until you get to the page
this is on (usually right below S2). Press the CH
down
button until the arrow
points to that line.
- Press
SETUP,
the line now shows A1,
press the CH
down
button until the A
changes to W.
Change the satellite name to GE1
by using the W
(West),
Ch
up and
Ch
down
buttons. Press W
(West)
until it lines up under Cband
and should show 101.0,
press the CH
up
button until this changes to 103
(these numbers are the satellites location in the arc and is available
on any satellite chart). Press W
(West)
one time, press the CH
up
button once to change the I
to
N.
- Press
ENTER
to save the satellite. Press View
to clear the screen. Now refer to to the next section "Programming
a satellite" to locate and store W1.
PROGRAMMING
A SATELLITE:
As an example we'll program the GE-1 Satellite created above.
- Move
to S4/19 (confirm the picture as Cornerstone WPCB). Press W
(West)
button and hold until you loose that picture then stop. Press and
hold the MENU
button down until INSTALLATION
MENU
is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds).
- Press
1
(PROGRAM
A SATELLITE),
then 1
(PROGRAM
A SATELLITE)
again. You should now be looking at the SATELLITE
STORE
screen. You will need to find the page that has the W1
satellite you just created listed. Use the W
(West)
button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to the page this
is on. Press the CH
down
button until the arrow
points to that line.
- Press
CALL,
if some adjustments to the skew or dish position is still required.,
use the CH
down
button to select SKEW
or
POLARITY.
Look on the front of the receiver, to the right of the channel number,
there are a series of lights, the POL light should not be on. Press
ENTER
when the picture is agreeable. W1 is now stored. Press VIEW
to clear the screen.
CLARKARK
The receiver will automatically program all of the satellites,
after you have correctly modified the original list of satellites in
the ADD/UPDATE
SATELLITE list
to agree with the current ark and you have programmed the first 2 satellites.
