Warning: If you have any doubt as to whether you can confortably do the following procedures yourself, hire a reputable satellite dealer to do this for you.

LEGEND:
ORANGE = represents a key on the remote
RED = Information Displayed on the TV screen

RECEIVER INFO:
UHF Remote Control. Direct access satellites are C, E, F, G, M, S & T for Cband, B, K & R for Ku. Parental Lock via the Menu however a password will be needed to defeat/remove it. Any manual tuning change made to the unit, be it satellite position, Skew, Polarity or Video will not save automatically, you will neeed to reprogram the adjusted satellite. Adjustments made using the Quicktune feature will be automatically be saved on a per polarity basis. The unit will also support Ku-band. There are 2 sets of RCA Video and Audio output jacks for the TV and VCR. Also has a 7 Event VCR timer. You can store up to 100 favorite channel in one of 8 catagory's.

CREATING A NEW SATELLITE:
As an example we'll program the GE-1 SATELLITE. Because the remote does not have a W for use as a direct access name you will have to decide weather to name it something else or just name it W1. The majority of satellite guides are referring to GE-1 as W1 so we will as well.

  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITES) then 1 (ADD/UPDATE SATELLITE) again. This will bring up the ADD/UPDATE SATELLITE screen, notice each line lists a satellite and some info about each. You need to find a line is filled with * * * *. Use the W (WEST) button to scroll a whole page at a time until you get to the page this is on (usually right below S2). Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press SETUP, the line now shows A1, press the CH down button until the A changes to W. Change the satellite name to GE1 by using the W (West), Ch up and Ch down buttons. Press W (West) until it lines up under Cband and should show 101.0, press CH up until this changes to 103. Press W (West) one time,  press the CH up once to change the I to N. Press ENTER, VIEW. Now follow  the instructions for PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE below to locate and store this satellite.

PROGRAMMING A SATELLITE:
As an example we'll program the W1 satellite that you created above.

  • Move to S4/19 (confirm the picture as Cornerstone WPCB). Press W (West) button and hold until you loose that picture then stop. Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen  (approx 4 seconds).
  • Press 1 (PROGRAM A SATELLITE) then 1 (PROGRAM A SATELLITE) again. You should now be looking at the SATELLITE STORE screen. You need to find the page that has the W1 satellite you just created listed. Use the W (West) button to scroll whole pages at a time until you get to the page this is on. Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press CALL, if some adjustments to the skew or dish position is still required., use the CH down button to select SKEW or POLARITY. Look on the front of the receiver, to the right of the channel number, there are a series of lights, the word "POL" should be seen written horizontally. Press ENTER when the picture is agreeable. Press VIEW to clear the screen.

RENAMING AN EXISTING SATELLITE:
As an example we'll rename the T3 satellite G9.

  • Press and hold the MENU button down until INSTALLATION MENU is displayed on the screen (approx 4 seconds). Press 1 (PROGRAM SATELLITES) then 1 (ADD/UPDATE SATELLITES) again. This will bring up the ADD/UPDATE SATELLITE screen, notice each line lists a satellite and some info about each.
  • Locate the T3 satellite by using the W (WEST) button to scroll a whole page of satellites at a time until you get to the page showing T3. Press the CH down button until the arrow points to that line.
  • Press SETUP, the line now shows the T in T3 flashing, press the CH up button until the T changes to a G. Press W (West) once. Now the 3 is flashing, press the CH up button until the 3 changes to a 9. Press ENTER. You should now be looking at the INSTALLATION MENU again. Press VIEW.

OTHER TUNING ADJUSTMENTS:
There is a
QUICKTUNE adjustment that can be used for a single channel adjustment. Press MENU, 1 to start the Quicktune feature. This will adjust all the channels on this satellite that are the same polarity as the one you are on (ie: every other channel). If the picture is Ok press ENTER to store the change. Other channel adjustments are POLARITY, SKEW and VIDEO
and are done via the remote, press the TUNE button, then the line representing the type of adjustment needed, then use the CH up or
CH down button to adjust. When you're satisfied with the picture, press VIEW to exit the screen. To make this change permanent, press MENU, 1, ENTER.
